Quisquis Ergo: The Rule of St Benedict as a Guide for Ordinary Life in a Secular Age

‘Behold the law under which thou desirest to combat. If thou canst keep it, enter; if, however, thou canst not, depart freely.’ With this statement, St Benedict of Nursia warns anyone who intends to follow his Rule that it is demanding and requires full commitment. Apart from practically arranging monastic lives, the Rule provides instructions for living a happy and authentic life individually and collectively.
