Holding the World Together: Myth, Language, and the Reawakening of Kanyini in the Irish Imagination

This essay was written on 2 October 2025, the day that the writer, broadcaster, and thinker Manchán Magan passed on from this earth. In 2023, I reached out to him with great excitement as I saw a correlation between the attention and reverence in his own work and the attitude conveyed by the Aboriginal Australian concept of Kanyini.
