Trump versus the University: Scandal or Calling to Account?

Outside of the act of student protest, the formal political position of universities in the US typically remains underground. For as long as I can remember, the identity politics of specific parties in state or federal government has not actively affected or shaped a university’s public mission or curricular priority.
