In a Golden Field

A Poem by Daniel Bristow
Issue 283, vol.96, Autumn 2007

In a golden field

Under golden sunset.

Air so still like a bonfire’s smoke

Lingers like mist,

And the steeple shines,

As do the power-lines,

And my cat’s nodded off to sleep.
